Promoting Cheddar in Weston

Weston Town Council is launching a new web site in June and is inviting Cheddar businesses to feature on it. Accommodation providers, restaurants, camp sites and other attractions can enjoy a free enhanced listing on the site until the end of 2013, including images, direct contact links, facilities, rooms, rates and on-line search and book facility where applicable. In addition, they will be offered preferential rates for 2014 advertising, should they wish to take this up, both on-line and in a 2014 Destination Guide, that will be circulated to every Tourist Information Centre and Service Station in the UK.

The site is currently short of caravan and camping parks and good quality bed and breakfast accommodation that offers a little luxury! The beginnings of the site can be seen at www.loveweston.com, but for an idea of what the finished site will look like, some examples are www.simplyscilly.co.uk and www.discoverdartmouth.com.

Also, small businesses are invited to club together for a dedicated feature linked from the home page, to promote Cheddar as a mini-destination. An example of this can be seen with the “Visit Mawgan Porth” box on www.visitnewquay.org.
