By Car

By Rail
You first need to travel to Weston-Super-Mare or Bristol Temple Meads (Click here for train timetables). Thence proceed by bus (126/826 from Weston, 672/674 from Bristol) or taxi.

Cheddar’s own station on the Yatton to Wells line did not survive the Beeching axe of 1963 but station buildings remain in the village and much of the old line is now a long distance footpath.
By Bus
The best route depends on the time of day of your arrival, whether you are travelling up from the South West or from elsewhere, and the timing of trains between Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare where you can pick up the 126/826. Although the 672/4 bus route from Bristol is longer, there are more trains to Bristol Temple Meads. For more bus timetable details visit www.firstgroup.com.
Our only other regular bus services are run by Bakers Dolphin Coaches; there is the 668 which goes to Wedmore and Street (for Clarks Village and adjacent to Glastonbury); the 619 from Badgworth via Axbridge, Cheddar, Wedmore and Mark to Bridgwater; and the 620 between Bridgwater, Wedmore, Cheddar, Winscombe and Langford.
Axe Vale Coaches also run a 490 service to and from Bristol on Tuesdays.
By Air
Our nearest airport is Bristol International, 10 miles distant. No direct bus service.
