Camping and caravanning

There are no camp sites actually in the Gorge itself but these are very close by:

Cheddar Bridge Caravan Park – 01934 743048
Adults only site, easy walk to village, gorge and caves. All new heated shower facilities, fridge/freezer available for campers. Short breaks available in our holiday caravans which are fully fitted, linen provided. Open March – October.

Cheddar Caravan Club Site – 01934 740207
Within walking distance of its famous Gorge and Cheese Company, magnificent views of the Mendips and surrounding countryside. 80 pitches, two barbecue areas, children’s play area, family and disabled facilities, laundry facilities, luxury toilet block, dish-washing facilities, waste disposal point. Open all year

Petruth Paddocks (book online) free-range camping – like it used to be (see 3D tour). Petruth Paddocks is where you go if you simply want to “get away from it all” and chill-out. Open fires are positively encouraged with kindling & logs delivered to your door! We aim to be the opposite of most sites these days so no overly zealous wardens prowling about – just Jules and the team who make it our mission to ensure everyone has a seriously laid-back time. Bring your own accommodation or why not book one of our Tipi’s or cabins? Our website should answer all your questions – once you’re happy simply click & book. See you there!
